Gene Shannon Sportsman Scholarship Fund

Gene was a lifelong resident of the Sunland-Tujunga community who loved this community with a passion.  He probably coached many of your kids in little league and in football over the years.  Much of the Sunland-Tujunga Little League facilities were built  through his and Paul Lindsay's efforts.  And every Friday night football game since 1999 had Gene helping to set up the snack bar and running the grill before he went into the stands to watch his sons Thomas and Tyler play.

Gene died while racing in the Ensenada Bike Race April 2006. 

A scholarship fund is being set up in Gene's name for the VHHS Booster's Scholarship Award.  Please make your checks payable to the VHHS Booster Club and note this is for the Gene Shannon Sportsman Scholarship Fund.
